The United Center for Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Incubation (UCEII), United Academy (sponsored by United Academy and United Academy Alumni Association) was established in 2 22, to build a nationwide leading innovation think-tank and research platform to explore innovation and advanced business practices, to motivate students to start their own business venture instead of queuing in the job market, to catalyze and promote startups, and to guide and assist in identifying a platform for commercialization.
Whether you're a student with a passion for technology, a desire to make a positive impact on the world, or a dream of starting your own business, UCEII is the perfect place to turn your ideas into reality. Our incubation centre provides a supportive and collaborative environment where students can receive guidance and support at every step of the entrepreneurship journey.
With the leadership of successful entrepreneurs with years of experience in the field, UCEII offers a unique opportunity for students to learn from a real-life entrepreneur and receive hands-on guidance in building their ideas from scratch. Our incubation centre offers a range of services, from prototyping and funding to networking and mentorship, all aimed at helping our students succeed.

Objectives of “UCEII”
- To identify potential Entrepreneurs among the students and faculty of the United Academy and United College, Tribhuvan University and to create a platform for them to emerge as successful entrepreneurs.
- To identify new business opportunities in various sectors.
- To focus on areas with high potential for Entrepreneurship.
- To network with entrepreneurship development institutes, funding agencies, and other industry/ academic institutions to support entrepreneurial initiatives.
- Encourage students to innovate by providing a conducive ecosystem.
- Encourage students to incubate their innovations on UCEII premises.
- Encourage the industry to incubate the ideas in UCEII premises.
- Establish tie-ups with the industry.
UCEII Initiatives
UCEII is a dynamic platform designed to support students at every step of their entrepreneurial journey. By fostering a collaborative and innovative environment, UCEII empowers students to develop practical skills, explore creative ideas, and transform concepts into real-world ventures. With mentorship, networking, funding support, and hands-on guidance, students gain the tools and confidence needed to thrive in today’s competitive entrepreneurial landscape.
A flagship initiative of UCEII is United Ignite, a business idea pitching competition that allows students to showcase their innovation, gain recognition, and compete for attractive prizes.
United Ignite 1.0
UCEII hosted its first-ever United Ignite competition, marking the beginning of a platform for student creativity and innovation. The event attracted brilliant ideas and enthusiastic participation from students eager to make an impact. The winners were:
- 1st Place: Team Naya Straws – Subham Kharel & Shreedip Shah | Rs. 15,000
- 2nd Place: Giga Genius Team – Sandhya Rai, Animon Rapacha & Lasata Tamrakar | Rs. 10,000
- 3rd Place: Ari Beauty Point & Training Centre – Grishma Shakya | Rs. 5,000
This first edition provided students with invaluable experience in presenting ideas, analyzing market potential, and building entrepreneurial confidence.
United Ignite 2.0 (in collaboration with Idea Studio Nepal)
Building on the success of the first edition, United Ignite 2.0 was held independently in collaboration with Idea Studio Nepal. This edition provided a broader platform for students to showcase their creativity, access expanded mentorship, and compete at a national level. The winners were:
- 1st Place: Kritiya – Shivika Shrestha | Rs. 15,000 + Certificate
- 2nd Place: Maya Ghar – Nirjala Maharjan & Pratisara Shakya | Rs. 10,000 + Certificate
- 3rd Place: Thailo – Smriti Rai & Jharana Chaulagain | Rs. 5,000 + Certificate
Achievements
United College is proud to highlight that our students ranked among the Top 10 nationwide in the Idea Pitching Competition organized by Idea Studio Nepal in collaboration with UCEII. Their creativity, determination, and innovative mindset set them apart on a national stage.
Our two exceptional teams, VedaSugandha, led by Pratyusha Ghimire and Jenisha Bajracharya, and Naya Straws, represented by Subham Kharel and Shreedip Shah, were selected to compete at the national-level ‘College Idea Hunt’. Their selection is a testament not only to the originality and impact of their ideas but also to the dedicated mentorship, guidance, and support they received from UCEII, which helped them refine their concepts and prepare confidently for this prestigious platform.
Since its inception in 2022, UCEII has continuously encouraged students to think differently, explore new business ideas, and launch their own ventures. Achievements like these reflect the center’s commitment to nurturing entrepreneurial talent and fostering a culture of innovation among students.
