The Teachers' Day celebration commenced at 10:40 AM with the Aashan Grahan, where all the teachers gathered and took their seats, symbolizing the beginning of the program. The entire school community, including students and teachers, joined together to sing the National Anthem, a patriotic display of unity and pride. Following this, a ceremony and gift distribution program took place to honour the teachers, acknowledging their hard work and commitment. The welcome speech added a warm touch to the event, expressing gratitude and setting the tone for the day's celebrations. A delightful cake-cutting ceremony followed, symbolizing the sweet bond between teachers and students. The academic head of United Academy, Mr. Basant Nepali, delivered an inspiring speech, captivating the audience with his words of wisdom and encouragement. The program continued with a snack distribution, providing an opportunity for everyone to indulge in delicious treats. The informal segment of the Teachers' Day celebration brought forth a wave of joy and entertainment. Biva and group followed with a lively rendition of Selo, a traditional Nepali dance form. The soulful singing talents of Class 12 student Mansu touched everyone's hearts as he performed the song "Until I Found Her." Sujata showcased her solo performance with the song "Sima Kancha," leaving the audience spellbound. Lelisha and her group enthralled everyone with their energetic performance on "Baara Haate Patuki," while Milan showcased his skills with a lively rendition of "Kehi Mitho Bhata Gara." Adding an element of excitement, the celebration continued with engaging games. Musical chairs brought laughter and friendly competition among the participants. As for the second game, the suspense builds, leaving the riddle game. Celebrating Teachers' Day at United Academy: A Day Filled with Appreciation and Joy

United Alumni Association held a small campaign on the United Academy grounds on December 1 in honour of World Aids Day. Everyone needs to be aware of what AIDS is and how it spreads; it is nothing to be ashamed of to talk about. The United Alumni team sought to educate the kids about AIDS while also demonstrating their support for those who were afflicted. We held a screening of the critically acclaimed film Philadelphia, which centres on AIDS awareness. The film was shown to some staff members, alumni, and bachelor's students. We received assistance from alumni, bachelor's, and +2 students in creating a backdrop in front of the United Coffee Club and crafting AIDS awareness badges. Along with the badges, we also had some bookmarks for sale. It was a small gesture to demonstrate our support for those with AIDS. The money was donated to Sparsha Nepal, an NGO, through the donation box and sales. Sparsha Nepal (Society for positive Atmosphere and Related Support to HIV and AIDS) is an NGO working in the field of HIV and AIDS since 2002. <img src="https://veda-app.s3.ap-south-1.amazonaws.com/assets/472111/gallery/2023-06-28/PcJ4xNdO64PRKpyd-1687945534.png" /> Two screenings of the film were held, one at 8:30 AM and the other at 2 PM. The entire crowd adored the film and had a great time watching it. Since it&rsquo;s the World Cup season, we also included a few WorldCup recaps during the breaks. Through this initiative, alumni were introduced to current students and other alumni, forging a unique link between them. Overall, the campaign was successful. We forged new connections and made an effort to show that we support those who are HIV-positive and are prepared to do what we can to assist them. World AIDS Day 2022

Dengue is rapidly increasing and is a very serious issue in our lives. Not all of us are aware of its symptoms, preventive methods, or the actual treatment process. The same goes for our mental health. Adults and most especially teens or high school students seem to have mental health issues. So, we did a two hour presentation session with our students on these topics. Our alumni from batch 1999, Dr. Prajwol Bhurtel conducted a presentation on collaboration with Alfa Care. The main objective of his presentation was not to only talk about the basic symptoms and treatment of dengue but to inform the students and staff of the minor symptom details of dengue, the little factors that cause this disease that we seem to ignore in our daily lives. He described his points with images which helped everyone to understand even better. The students were also given free vital screening by the team of Alfa care. <img src="https://veda-app.s3.ap-south-1.amazonaws.com/assets/472111/gallery/2023-06-28/sHSVRiwmiRh5dwjx-1687945106.jpg" /> During the presentation, we found out that many of the students were unaware of the symptoms and prevention methods of Dengue. Dr Bhurtel answered all the queries and cleared the misconception about Dengue that the students had. During the vital screening, we found out that a hostel student was suffering from a high fever and she was about to be taken to the hospital. As soon as we knew, Dr. Bhurtel did her check-up and called a staff from Alfa Care to collect her blood sample. He then provided every required treatment for her in the college and also offered her a very nice discount package for the treatment. Dr. Bhurtel has given a special privilege package for United students, their families, United staff, and alumni in collaboration with Alfa Care. <img src="https://veda-app.s3.ap-south-1.amazonaws.com/assets/472111/gallery/2023-06-28/u0eCt0EVCsHQ6oON-1687945106.jpg" /> In the mental health session, he talked about very basic but important topics in a student&rsquo;s mental health. He talked about the types and reasons for stress in a student&rsquo;s life. The students were interacting with Dr. Bhurtel the entire session. They also shared how important this presentation was for them. We were surprised to see the number of students who participated in the interaction session. They shared their views on how mental health has affected their daily life, what extra activities they do in order to release their stress, and how helpful the presentation was to clear the misconception they had regarding mental health. The students were taught about stress management, mental health issues and the measures that can be helpful to cope with stress that we face in our daily lives. Dr. Bhurtel&rsquo;s presentation was overall the most interactive session with students we&rsquo;ve ever had. It was equally informative as well. The entire session gave us very important information about Dengue, awarded everyone about mental health and stress management activities, and the screening session helped to find out the symptoms our students had of Dengue. <img src="https://veda-app.s3.ap-south-1.amazonaws.com/assets/472111/gallery/2023-06-28/MmiZ7fCGWhg6GF6S-1687945106.jpg" />

Dengue and Mental Health Awareness

They say that &ldquo;a journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step&rdquo; and this saying stands truer than ever for one of United Academy&rsquo;s star alumni, Mr. Shishir Subedi. Currently established as the Co-Founder of Quadcopters Nepal, Shishir also enjoys his full-time profession as a tutor of Robotics &amp; IOT at Islington College. 21-year-old Shishir&rsquo;s journey with Robotics is indeed a long one that started with the establishment of United Robotics Club in the year 2018. Shishir was one of the pioneers in the club as he started representing United Academy and eventually Nepal in national and international platforms with his innovative ideas and inventions. Shishir&rsquo;s first project was a Robo Soccer - a robot that plays soccer. Designed for entertainment purposes, the invention really gave Shishir and his team a great push as they won the 1st prize in Yantra 6.0. Then, for Yantra 7.0, there were two teams participating from United Robotics Club and bagged both the first and the second positions. Yantra 6.0 &amp; 7.0 were ?International Robotics Competitions ?for tinkerers, makers, lovers, and engineers where there is ?Robot Football Competition, Robot Fight Automatic and Manual, ?Drone Racing Competition and RoboBusiness Cup? held in the year 2018 and 2019 respectively. The participants for these tournaments belonged to Nepal, Bhutan and Bangladesh. <img src="https://veda-app.s3.ap-south-1.amazonaws.com/assets/472111/gallery/2023-06-28/8pw19AclNcfUpMnI-1687944573.jpg" /> Following these, Shishir and his team participated in Aavishkar 2018- an event organized by Kathmandu University- and successfully bagged the first position. The tournament&rsquo;s theme was &ldquo;cleaning ponds and oceans&rdquo;, for which each team had to make a robot that cleans the water resources. After several successful participation inside the country, Shishir and his team members were invited to represent Nepal in TechNex IIT, an annual techno-management fest of the Indian Institute of Technology(IIT) in the year 2019. <img src="https://veda-app.s3.ap-south-1.amazonaws.com/assets/472111/gallery/2023-06-28/u2P2ezIfmeo8eBev-1687944573.jpg" /> Adding yet another feat to their long list of achievements, Shishir and his team members participated in the International Robot Olympics held at Dubai Festival City in 2019. It was an annual culmination of focused STEM/robotic involvement of exponentially increasing student bodies from all nations in growing collaboration. Shishir led the team as a Team Captain and his team made history by presenting a game-changing invention of the &ldquo;Ocean Cleaning Robot&rdquo;. Robot Olympics also known as First Global Challenge attracted participation from all over the world with 1023 participants from 190 countries. In a span of 2 years after the establishment of the Robotics Club, Shishir represented the club and the country in 8 national and international robotics and IOT competitions. It is commendable to mention that all this was possible for young Shishir while he was still pursuing his +2 at United Academy. After graduating in BIT - Networking and Cybersecurity, he chose to follow his passion for robotics and IoT and started tutoring students in the field at Islington College. He is also the Co-Founder of Quadcopters Nepal, a company that deals in selling drones that are self-assembled by Shishir Subedi in Nepal. &ldquo;I am extremely grateful to United Academy specifically to the Robotics Club for their continuous support in terms of expert training, physical infrastructure, mentorship and financial resources. They have never discouraged me for anything and have always said - YES - to anything that supported me and my journey with robots&rdquo;, says Shishir Subedi. &ldquo;All of my achievements weren't really possible without the effort of my colleagues. Shishir Subedi - a true #Innovator

United Academy Nepal, a leading college in Lalitpur and Kathmandu, partnered with Robotics Association of Nepal (RAN Nepal) to host a historic event on 27th Magh 2079. United Academy is a well-known educational institution in Nepal that offers affordable education options. It has consistently been ranked among the top colleges in the cities of Lalitpur and Kathmandu and is also recognized as one of the top science colleges in the country. The event, United Robotics Fest 1.0 included a successful inter-school Robo Soccer competition, panel discussion on the impact of Robotics and AI in education, and a science exhibition featuring 17 innovative robotic models designed and built by the Plus two students of United Academy. This event was a resounding success, attracting participation from schools across the country including some of the top colleges in Kathmandu and Laliptur and generating enthusiasm from students, teachers, and parents. The science exhibition was held in conjunction with the Robo Soccer competition and panel discussion and showcased 17 cutting-edge robotic models, including an automatic hand sanitizer dispenser, a rain alarm system, a security alert system, a weather reporting system, and a soil moisture monitoring system. Other remarkable models on display were an IoT-based home automation system, an automatic street light, a smart dustbin, a fingerprint door lock system, an automatic solar tracking system, an RFID card-based door lock system, a jumbo RC car, an obstacle avoiding robot, a line following robot, a room cleaning robot, a hexapod, and a fire fighting robot. <img src="https://veda-app.s3.ap-south-1.amazonaws.com/assets/472111/gallery/2023-06-28/kvpm2fVRd2wcA99o-1687940841.jpg" /> The event was a testament to the plus two students' creativity and craftsmanship, and received positive feedback from attendees. One of the notable moments of the United Academy Nepal event was the insightful panel discussion on the impact of Robotics and AI in education, featuring Ruchi Pandey, Sr. Director of Public Relations and Corporate Communications at Fusemachines Nepal, Er. Roshan Pandey, Senior Technical Officer at Nepal Academy of Science and Technology, and Er. Ramesh Shrestha, Principal at Sagarmatha Engineering College. The discussion was skillfully moderated by Er. Bikash Gurung, President of the Robotics Association of Nepal (RAN). The panel discussion was particularly relevant for students who are considering their options after plus two. For those who are interested in pursuing a career in IT, the discussion provided valuable insight into the benefits and opportunities that can be gained from studying Robotics and AI in education. The discussion was an excellent resource for students who are looking to determine what to study after plus two and what to do to pursue a successful career in IT. The discussion began with Ruchi Pandey highlighting the growing importance of robotics and AI in the field of education. She discussed how these technologies are transforming the way students learn and providing new opportunities for hands-on learning and skill development. Through AI fellowships, Nepalese students are benefiting by getting fully trained in engineering and some even become entrepreneurs. We believe that Nepalese have the curiosity and potential for AI, and we want to show them the opportunities here in Nepal." - Ruchi Pandey.&ldquo;. "As a mechanical engineer with nine years of experience, my passion for AI developed during my bachelor's degree. I have seen the latest advancements in AI in other countries and I am proud to be a part of the AI integration at NAST. Our goal is to connect with the youth and bring AI to their everyday lives, especially in the education sector. Although Nepal has some penetration in AI, the output will take time as we seem to be lagging behind. In the future, AI will play a crucial role in every sector and at NAST, we aim to support the young scientists and provide grants to students, as well as empower the uneducated with special talent through AI."- Roshan Pandey. Er. Roshan Pandey then spoke about the potential of robotics and AI to revolutionize education. He discussed how these technologies can be used to create more interactive and engaging learning experiences and how they can help students develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills. He also spoke about the need for educational institutions to adopt new teaching methodologies and technologies to keep pace with the rapidly evolving field of robotics and AI. "AI is set to rule the world in the coming years with automation becoming the norm in every developed country. Every business needs to be sustainable and the key factor for this is AI and technology. Staying updated and prepared is a challenge in this ever-changing technology landscape, and workshops and collaborations should be carried out to address this. A career in AI requires a mix of incentives and passion, and in terms of global context, AI has a lot to offer. To ensure opportunities in AI, students from different backgrounds should have a strong foundation in Calculus, Linear Algebra, Statistics and Probability, and an understanding of how the brain works. At Sagarmatha Engineering College, we are incorporating AI-related syllabus and providing dedicated funds to support the education in AI." - Ramesh Shrestha Ramesh Shrestha then added to the discussion by highlighting the role of engineering and technology in shaping the future of education. He discussed how engineering and technology education can provide students with the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in a rapidly changing world. He emphasized the importance of investing in education to ensure that future generations are equipped with the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in a rapidly changing world. Simultaneously, there was also a Robo-Soccer Competition going on the same day. It was a 7 hour competition which had 8 participants in total. These participants were from all over the country - included teams from out-of-valley and all girls teams as well. The first, second and third place of the Robo-Soccer Competition were - Team Protsahan, Team Destructor and Team Fireflies respectively. The United Robotics Fest 1.0 by United Academy and Robotics Association Nepal was a triumph, receiving recognition and high praise from participants and attendees for the Plus two students' innovative and creative showcase of robotics and AI in education. This event marked a significant milestone for the college and solidified its reputation as a leading institution in technology-driven education, including AI in education, digital media literacy, and integration of Information technology in education.

United Robotics Fest 1.0

United Academy (UA) celebrated its 25th <a href="https://academy.united.edu.np/news?id=1293">Welcome Program 2079</a> after two years of silence due to COVID-19. Grade 12 students welcomed the freshers wholeheartedly with a blast of their exuberant talents and skills. UA invited a motivational speaker to rejuvenate the students&rsquo; energy during all the performances. Ms. Manashi Agrawal is a TEDx speaker, distinguished Toastmaster, web series host and corporate trainer who stepped onto the stage of the UA Welcome program 2079 when the program MCs announced her name. Her presence itself was a proactive vibe of positive energy&mdash;the energy that recharges one's deeper recesses of heart and mind. The whole crowd then anticipated a great motivational presentation from Ms. Agrawal. <img src="https://veda-app.s3.ap-south-1.amazonaws.com/assets/472111/gallery/2023-06-25/4KFRxSYh0rLmpPPX-1687678375.jpg" /> She congratulated the UA on its Silver Jubilee Anniversary Year- 2022. As always, it did not take long for her to draw the attention of the whole crowd towards her. Every word she spoke was strong and captivating. Not only the students but all the staff were highly encouraged by her speech. &ldquo;You are the sum total of all the choices you make&rdquo;, she remembered what her school principal had once told her and shared it with the crowd. Ms. Agrawal demonstrated how a note never loses its value no matter how many times you scrunch it. Likewise, in our lives, the only way we can make people interested in associating with us is by increasing our value and the number one way to increase our value is by focusing on learning. Having an extra skill set is very important to grow. The world always tells us what we cannot do. They will try to impose limitations on us. One should stop listening to the world because we know about ourselves better than anyone else. Only we know what we&rsquo;re capable of. Another thing that helps us find our value is the environment around us and the people we surround ourselves with. The active participation of the students was showing how impactful Ms. Agrawal&rsquo;s speech was. It was indeed needed for the students to help push them a little towards positivity and an optimistic future. Mannsi Agrawal in United Academy

United Academy celebrated its 25th welcome program in 2079 after two years of silence due to COVID-19. Normally, Grade XII students welcome their juniors with their performances and create a good bonding with each other in this program. This culture is ongoing for the last 24 years. This year is special because of its 25th anniversary and on this occasion, United has something new to offer to its students. <img src="https://veda-app.s3.ap-south-1.amazonaws.com/assets/472111/gallery/2023-06-25/1zUmzAIrMwzFl1w1-1687676439.jpg" /> The program opened up when the first formal session of prize distribution was closed with the closing speech by the principal of United Academy - Dr Lal Rapacha in the presence of BoDs and other academic personalities of the Academy. Then, the students presented their performances and welcomed their juniors wholeheartedly with their exuberant talents and skills. Some of the songs performed by the students were breathtaking and the whole crowd of the audience could not help themselves not to sing along with them. Their singing performances sounded like a concert and the backstage student counsellors joined the singers on the stage and danced. A student with the stage name AJ Reaper performed his original song. Some dances were a mixture of diverse cultures and Western dance styles along with cultural dresses of pure Nepali songs but with a twist and turns of Western touch. It was a great way of showing that they respect what culture they practice but are also getting updated with the new Western styles too. MCs had prepared some TikTok trend performances for their juniors. It was a surprise performance for everyone. Ms Had stepped onto the stage with her positive message and congratulated the United Academy for its Silver Jubilee Anniversary Year-2022. As she started her motivational speech, the students were seen actively participating with her questions and all their attention was drawn towards her words. He represented 20,000+ alumni and announced to support United Academy and its alumni association and try to bring as many benefits as possible to the alumni he can. He wants to bring all former students together physically or digitally and make a strong networking team. To help uplift each other will be the UAA&rsquo;s main aim and he&rsquo;s working on making a strong team to make all these happen. The photo booth and some props made by our student counsellors were like an additional gift to the students who wanted to capture the moments and their friendship on their special day. United Welcome Program 2079

On 2022-9-18, Ms. Pooja Dangol have the students of United Academy a two hours workshop on Leadership and Excellence. She has a master's in training and development from Kathmandu University and a certified speaking professional from training qualifications UK (TQUK). Her clientele includes renowned national and international organizations, NGOs, INGOs, banks, governmental entities, and academic institutions. <img src="https://veda-app.s3.ap-south-1.amazonaws.com/assets/472111/gallery/2023-06-25/aXhljpyvnpFHqEJv-1687673418.jpg" /> Through this session, we wanted to educate the students about the leadership skills that are required in our professional and daily life. Ms. Dangol started her presentation with a brief introduction to leadership. To make the students more clear about the workshops, they were given to do three activities. In the first activity, the students were asked to write where they see themselves five years from now and what skill sets they need to have in order to be there. Right after this, she explained the three key pillars of leadership that are career, community, and family. <img src="https://veda-app.s3.ap-south-1.amazonaws.com/assets/472111/gallery/2023-06-25/zsBL4XeKagHxjrFi-1687673418.jpg" /> In the second activity, the students were divided into seven groups. Each group was given loose papers and a marker. They were asked to write the top 20 personality traits of the leader that they imagine being. They all did a group discussion and finalized the top 20 personality traits that a leader should have. Each group&rsquo;s list was pretty amazing and helpful. This activity taught them how important it is to know the skills you need to have to be the leader they imagine o be in the future and there is no gender and age when it comes to being a leader. In the third activity, the students were given another group activity where they were given a situation. They were asked to choose 10 out of 20 given equipment in order to survive if their plane crashed on a deserted island. All the groups selected 10 pieces of equipment for their survival but that was not what the activity was about. Through this activity, Ms. Pooja wanted to see who lead the decision-making process, who started thy interaction with their friends to ask for their opinion, who was a good listener, and who finalised the list. This activity was a very smart way to figure out who had the leadership skill in the group. <img src="https://veda-app.s3.ap-south-1.amazonaws.com/assets/472111/gallery/2023-06-25/kCZcCrMvukz2intx-1687673418.jpg" /> The overall workshop was very helpful and we were surprised to learn that many of our students already had those leadership skills in them.

Workshop on Leadership and Excellence

The Felicitation and Career Counseling Program was held on 25th June 2022 at the UA Pavilion Hall. The purpose of the Felicitation and Career Counseling Program was to express good wishes to students who attained SEE, 2079 from United School and United Universal School. <img src="https://veda-app.s3.ap-south-1.amazonaws.com/assets/472111/gallery/2023-06-25/0snrAXYxGVYkTJcx-1687673108.jpg" /> UA alumni who are professionals in Engineering, Medicine, Management, Law, and Humanities shared their valuable experiences and ideas with more than 250 students and their parents. Overall, the feedback and expectations received were overwhelmingly positive, with 100 percent of students commenting favourably on the experience. Felicitation and Career Counseling Program

On the 13th of Chaitra 2079, United Academy hosted a farewell program for the +2 college students. The event was held at Nepal Academy Hall and was a mixture of both formal and informal performances. The program was highly successful, with participation from all the students and teachers. <img src="https://veda-app.s3.ap-south-1.amazonaws.com/assets/472111/gallery/2023-06-25/q9d7wKZ9MQKP4j8c-1687672659.jpg" /> The formal segment of the program began with the chairing ceremony, followed by the national anthem. Principal, Dr Lal Rapacha, then lit the lamp in Pansay. The welcome mantra was recited by Pragshana RL Shah, a student of class 11. Saksham Shrestha performed "Timi Bhayera," while Ishan Maharjan sang "Maryo Ni Maryo." Ankit KC and his band presented "Sahara," and Nikarsha Band played "Nachaaheko Haina." Uchit and Group presented "Jhaam Jhaam Paryo Pani," while Neyusha Shrestha performed "Arabic." Sakela Group performed "Sakela," and Prashika Dhungana presented the "Jhayuare Dance." Khushi Budathoki and Group performed "Jhigu Baisa," and Marsyn Group sang "Nautah Mero Kale." The Choas Group performed "Jyaure Song," while Jasmine Rai and Group presented "Bandipure." Farewell to the Future: United Academy's +2 College Students Bid Goodbye

In order to commemorate the outstanding result of our +2 students and to energize the festive mood of those working behind the scenes at United Academy - our valued employees, we organized a grand event on 10th September 2022.
 To kick off the event, Mr. Basant Nepali, Academic Head & Spokesperson delivered a welcome speech by giving an overview of how the institution has evolved over the years and the plans of the institution to continue the tradition of learning and adapting to the modern world requirements. Following his speech, Ms.Chandrika Acharya, Manager- Human Resources delivered a presentation on the newly implemented leave policies for the betterment of our employees' experience at United Academy. <img src="https://veda-app.s3.ap-south-1.amazonaws.com/assets/472111/gallery/2023-06-25/ov496oxIKl76Wpq9-1687672377.jpg" /> 
 Next, to lighten the mood at the event, 4 renowned singers from the Nepali music fraternity entertained the audience with their soothing voices. The renowned personalities were - Shanti Ram Rai, Mahesh Khadka, Ruksana Limbu (Voice of Nepal Runner-Up) and Bishwo Nepali. Following that, we had our own employees who came up to the stage and showcased their talents. The employees who showcased their singing talents were Tilak Chandra Basnet, Rajesh KC, Ram Bahadur Rai, and Chandra Chaulagai. Employee Refreshment Night 2022

In a remarkable display of solidarity and commitment towards environmental conservation, a diverse coalition of stakeholders came together for a memorable two-day event to celebrate World Environment Day. The event, organized through a collective effort between government bodies, private sector entities, academic institutions, entrepreneurs, media organizations, beauty pageant organizers, and the alumni association, aimed to address crucial environmental challenges and inspire positive change. The organizers include United Academy Nepal, Miss Universe Nepal and Eco Infinity Pvt Ltd. The multifaceted event encompassed a range of activities, each designed to contribute to the preservation and restoration of our environment - a community cleanup, panel discussion and local community awareness generation campaign. On the first day of our overall program ie. June 4th, 2023, the enthusiastic students studying BCA and BBS at United College gathered in Kumaripati for a litter-picking and community cleanup event. They embarked on a mission to clean areas such as Batauk Bhairab, the local stupa, and various other places around the Kumaripati &amp; Lagankhel area. From 9:30 am to 11 am, their collective efforts transformed the surroundings into cleaner and more vibrant spaces. The program proved to be a remarkable success, showcasing the students' commitment to environmental preservation. On June 5th, United Academy hosted an enlightening panel discussion in partnership with Miss Universe Nepal and NIU Nepal (Electric Scooter) to celebrate World Environment Day. The theme for the panel discussion was "Shaping a Sustainable Future Together" Distinguished panelists, including Dr. Mahabir Pun, Nagma Shrestha, Pragun Rajbhandary, Dr. Tshering Lama, and Er. Pradeep Amatya, engaged in a captivating dialogue, expertly moderated by Miss Sofia Maharjan Karki, an esteemed alumna of United Academy currently working with Nari TV. <img src="https://veda-app.s3.ap-south-1.amazonaws.com/assets/472111/gallery/2023-06-06/EtJWfj1uBaywxypH-1686033035.jpg" width="536" height="804" /> The program commenced with a solemn lighting ceremony, led by the principal of United Academy and College, Dr. Lal Rapacha, along with the President of the United Alumni Association, Mr. Nirmal Sigdel. The panelists explored a wide range of topics, addressing contemporary environmental challenges, with a particular focus on global warming. Ltd., and Dr. Tshering Lama, the Founder of Idea Studio Nepal, shared insights into their respective initiatives supporting green-oriented startups. Dr. Tshering Lama was asked about the role of Idea Studio Nepal in supporting and nurturing startups focused on promoting sustainable practices. He explained that Idea Studio Nepal provides mentorship, networking opportunities, and funding to eco-conscious startups. Dr. Lama emphasized the significance of an enabling ecosystem that fosters innovation and provides a platform for entrepreneurs to scale their ideas. During the panel discussion held at United Academy in association with Miss Universe Nepal and NIU Nepal, students from United College, United Academy, and United School had the opportunity to engage with the esteemed panelists. By taking a proactive stance in engaging the local community, the initiative aimed to foster a sense of responsibility and inspire individuals to actively contribute to the betterment of the environment. As the panel discussion drew to a close, the program seamlessly transitioned into an impactful tree plantation initiative. Aligned with the theme of "reuse, recycle, reduce," the focus shifted towards promoting environmental consciousness through practical action. Spearheaded by UAA President Nirmal Sigdel, an innovative approach was adopted for this endeavor. DIY handmade tree plantation pots were ingeniously crafted by repurposing wasted mineral water bottles.
