Let’s talk about which platform we’ll use for the online classes.


What is Veda App?

Veda is a cloud-based school management and digital learning platform developed by Ingrails, a software company in Nepal. Designed to simplify and digitize school operations, it connects teachers, students, and parents through features like online learning, attendance tracking, communication, and grading.


How to use the Veda App?

The students can use the Veda App via the website on a desktop or by downloading the mobile app.

Join Online Class via Mobile - Quick Steps

  1. Open the VedaGuru app on your device.
  2. Tap on the "Live Class" from the main menu.
  3. Select your scheduled class from the list.
  4. Click the "Join Class" button to enter the live session

Join Online Class via Desktop - Quick Steps

  1. Go to the VedaGuru website in your browser.
  2. Log in with your Student Username and Password.
  3. Click on the "Live Class" section from the menu.
  4. Select your scheduled class and click "Join Class".

How is Google Meet useful for educational institutes for attending online classes?

Google Meet is useful for educational institutions by providing a secure, integrated, and interactive platform for online classes. It facilitates live interaction, allows for sharing of resources and recordings, and offers accessibility features like closed captions and integration with tools like Google Classroom, making it a versatile option for both synchronous and asynchronous learning.


How to use Google Meet?

If you are unable to join the class through the Veda app, you can also join via Google Meet. You can learn how to join the class using Google Meet from the tutorial provided below.

DOS

  • Be on time; it is better to join the class 5 minutes beforehand.
  • Turn off all your social media, chat boxes, and phones as you would do for a regular class, so as to respect the class time.
  • All communications with other students must be course-related, especially during class time.
  • The background of your video must be appropriate for professional learning environment
  • Mute your audio when you are not speaking.
  • Because this is an audio-based meeting, your voice acts as your physical presence. Be thoughtful of when you speak and be courteous.

DON'TS

  • Never enter, or attempt to enter, a Google Meet using the name of another student or staff member. Changing your name to something inappropriate is unacceptable behaviour and will be addressed immediately. If your name does not match your name on the register, you will not be admitted.
  • Do not use foul, disrespectful language or images in any means of communication with your classmates, faculty.
  • Never enter a Google Meet for a subject that is not part of your regular Google Meet timetable without an invitation from a member of staff.
  • Class meeting IDs are never to be shared with others outside of the class.
  • Do not evade your classmates and teachers' privacy.
  • Do not misuse photos and videos of others.
  • Do not take screenshots without letting the people in the picture know about it.
  • Disrupting a Google Meet will lead to your being removed from the lesson.
